WiFi monitor模式的配置和运行检查

1. WiFi monitor模式介绍

通常大家对于WiFi的理解主要来自无线路由器和和接入无线路器的设备比如笔记本电脑手机智能电视机智能开关智能电饭煲等。由于这些设备使得我们的日常生活更加便捷。

从技术的角度来说这些智能设备都是基于IP网络在进行信息交互。说的更加专业一点就是这些设备都满足OSIOpen System Interconnection分层设计遵循IPv4/IPv6协议进行信息交互。

补充介绍下OSI七层模型

  • L7应用层HTTP FTP TFTP SMTP SNMP DNS TELNET HTTPS POP3 DHCP
  • L6表示层数据的表示、安全、压缩JPEG、ASCll、EBCDIC、加密格式等。在五层模型里面合并到应用层
  • L5会话层建立、管理、终止会话。对应主机进程指本地主机与远程主机正在进行的会话。在五层模型里面合并到应用层
  • L4传输层TCP UDP
  • L3网络层ICMP IGMP IPIPV4 IPV6
  • L2数据链路层建立逻辑连接、进行硬件地址寻址、差错校验等功能。将比特组合成字节进而组合成帧用MAC地址访问介质错误发现但不能纠正。
  • L1物理层设备之间非结构化原始数据的传输和接收

这里所讲述的WiFi monitor模式就是运行在L2数据链路层从软件的角度来看就是最底层了在下面就是与硬件寄存器相关的操作(这块内容大部分就是驱动层硬件解决方案不同可能会有不同的差异)。

WiFi monitor就是在L2数据链路层对WiFi RF信号进行监视。

2. WiFi monitor模式查看

注本文基于ubuntu Linux系统进行介绍windows的朋友请自行寻找相应的工具。

Step1确保计算机上有安装硬件WiFi无线网卡

Step2安装必要的工具

$ sudo apt-get install tcpdump wireless-tools net-tools

Step 3iw list查看无线网卡是否支持monitor模式

注如果无线网卡不支持该monitor模式如果需要请购买相应的无线网卡。

Step 6检验WiFi monitor模式

通常我们周边的WiFi环境是很复杂的也就是说充满了RF信号所以一般来说每个信道都是有信息的会接收到RF L2数据链路报文。这也是为什么我们的带宽没有理想的那么高的速率。

PS.玩游戏关注时延的朋友记得一定用有线网络有线鼠标。无线都是坑
